  1. Just wanted to give update I put in a new computer same problem code 212 and shifts until I hit 30 then no shift anymore . Took out the wiring harness looked it over seemed good. Looked at the psom everything was clean. Is still think it’s electrical because it goes away if unhook computer or battery.
  2. After unplugging the pcm last night again and driving again today it shifted good around the block and then when I got on the main road to hit 30 it quit shifting to second again. Wouldn’t even try like it used to when I let off the gas. Still no slipping if manually shifted. I don’t know if it’s unplugging the computer that helps or if it’s just shifting good when cooled down and then does it when warmed up . So either something is shorting out when it hears up or like you say the pcm Is bad. Wish I could do some more test. I appreciate your help
  3. Also, on the test it says to do, it ask if my voltage reading is over 10.5 volts but I get 0 volts. Ask if certain wires have over 10,000 ohms and I get 0 ohms. I feel like I should get some kind of reading I checked my connections multiple times it seemed good.
  4. Well I bought a all data subscription followed the steps for diagnosing code 212 found a wire broke from distributor to ICM ran a new wire hooked the ICM and pcm back up and no 212 code. truck was shifting good and then a few minutes later started doing the same thing. Code 212 is back. Wire I ran still good. Don’t know where to go from here feel like unplugging the pcm for a while helped truck to shift again did the same thing when unhooking the battery for 30 minutes not sure what the problem is.
  5. Ok checked grounds they’re good and wiring to. I benched test the mlps a few days ago and it was testing in the right range of ohms. Testing it on the truck the voltage is correct but now the ohms are not. Faulty mlps?
  6. 1995 f150 4.9 with a e40d transmission. Truck will skip 2nd gear go to 3rd and when it does shift to 2nd gear there’s slipping from 2nd to 3rd .if shifting it manually it’s fine. No flashing from overdrive light. New map sensor new speed sensor new tps. Tested the mlps it was good. Replaced solenoid pack and on the first drive it shifted fine first to second and then started doing the same thing. Checked codes and they are 212 and 225. When unplugging the map sensor it will shift to 2nd every time but does it hard and the same if unplugging the speed sensor.
