mtrayno1
In the second pic I know the line at arrow #1 goes to the air cleaner. Can anyone tell me where #2 and #3 should go? first pic is just a close up of the connections in question. Thanks
Administrators Moses Ludel Posted July 19, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 19, 2016 mtrayno1...I posted a vacuum diagram for the '87-'90 YJ Wrangler 2.5L four-cylinder engines at an earlier post. This should help clarify your vacuum circuit: Let us know if the PDF diagram helps answer your vacuum concern. Your circuit is incomplete with the plugged hose. Here to assist if you need more input. mtrayno1
Thanks. I think I've got it sorted out. #2 goes to Thermal check valve on the air cleaner and #3 goes to the EGR valve.
don
Iv'e got 1999 Jeep Wrangler that all of a sudden there is a loud whistle that comes from the throttle body area when the engine gets to operating temperature. Can't figure out why. I replaced the gasket. What else can I try?
Administrators Moses Ludel Posted September 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2016 Hi, don...Using a spray like WD40 and avoiding any hot or ignition areas that could ignite the spray, safely spray a light mist around the throttle body area and listen for any change in engine speed. Focus on the area that changes the speed, this would be a vacuum leak. We can go from there. If you need further assistance, post a quick photo of the vacuum leak source. Let us know what you find.
