Can anyone tell me step by step how to change out the old torque converter clutch solenoid with the new. 2002 jeep TJ 32RH transmission. -
Going to swap my old 258 w/ 4.0 head for a 99 model 4.0 in my 84 CJ-8. Already have the mpfi setup, just going to use it along with the TF999 trans. Question is will the flexplate and starter both work on the 99 4.0 engine? I've been told that I need the flexplate that fits the engine and to drill it to fit the trans. torque converter. Just need to know which is correct. Thanks -
I Can't believe that after owning my TJ for 4 years now, and being a member of numerious other forums that I am only just now finding this page and it's wealth of information. I Have searched around a bit, and while I have found a lot of useful info, I haven't quite seen what I'm after, so I figure that my best bet is to specifically ask, but 1st, Let me take tis opportunity to express my appreciation and respect. Moses , In My Jeep zj 1994 4.0L engine AWD trans, do i need to re gear if i will use a 30- 31 tires and what gear and where to buy this gears. can i ask you regarding the TPS in the ZJ,does it affect kickdown or its the TCM that control this shifting? sometimes my i experience is the it kickdown only up to 2nd gear and sometimes it goes to 1st gear, is it the adjustment of the kickdown cable ? is it lose or is it to tight? also you advice me before regarding the anti return valve in the trans i cannot locate it, also where i can buy this valve how do i check if its ok? , p
