ok i am in need of some help i have a 1994 ford bronco 5.8 4x4 xlt it starts fine runs great except when i put it in gear it does not move i thought it might have been the rear gears but those are actually in great shape, i also check the fluid level and level was good i put the rear tires up on jack stands and put it in geat snd the tires move in all gears. Has this happened to anyone very frustrated need help -
for starters I was inquiring about swapping the gas engine i have in my 1996 ford f250 crew cab and putting a 7.3 turbo diesel in it,i currently have the 460 big block in it now and don't think that i will have any issues pulling the 460 out and swapping it for the 7.3. i would also like to put a manual transmission in it, and just wanted to cover my bases before i dive into tearing it down. any advice is helpful -
My tranny will not shift unless I column shift from 1 to 2. It will not go to 3rd. I will go into reverse. I have checked fuses. Cleaned up ground connects. I have a working speedometer which should rule the vss. The screws are tight at the column shifter and shift cable connection. The shift lever seats in each detent for each gear. Cable does not appear to need adjustment. Column shift indicator lines up with selected gears. I have purchased but not broken the packaging on a new neutral safety switch....hoping to be able to return it. I have verified the truck will not start in any gear but park. What have I missed? I replaced body mount bushings. Prior to that the tranny was great.

I'm looking into getting a bronco ii. I've had a full size and was wondering about the biis. I have heard many great things on forums about them but I have only really heard negative things from people. What do you guys think of them? My main use for one if I got one would be to drive to school, light off-roading and winter driving.
