I'd like to get a 2 1/2" lift on my Liberty pretty soon to deal with the snow we should be getting any day now. What is the best setup in order to be safe, have good road performance, and not do major changes to the geometry? I wouldn't mind if it were on the lower end of the price range as well, but safety and reliability are more important. I also have a related question about wheels and tire sizes I found a set of 16" Aluminum Dodge wheels and some great "used" Cooper M+S tires at a fantastic price, but the tires are P225 70 R16 instead of P235 70 R16. I need to purchase a rooftop cargo carrier (for luggage) for our '06 Jeep Liberty. I was going to purchase one of the cargo bags that have good consumer reviews, but ran across a deal on an X-Cargo Sport 20 for sale. I hesitate, though, because this carrier is nearly as long as the roof as the Libby. http://www.sears.com/x-cargo-sport-20-car-top-carrier/p-02872030000P Looking for some guidance on choosing a bag or carrier that is appropriately sized for the vehicle, and even how important that aspect is. Any advice appreciated.

We recently received a recall notice for my wife's '06 Libby. The problem is that the fuel tank could leak during a rear-end collision (ya think?!), and the fix is to install a trailer hitch. I thought that was an interesting fix, but I sure won't complain about a free OEM hitch! It also noted that parts are not currently available, but that we'll receive another notice when they are. Can you imagine how many hitches Chrysler will need for all the '02-'07 KJs on the road??

The Jeep Liberty, Commander and Patriot have a loyal following. We bought the first year KJ Liberty model introduced in 2002 and were impressed with its content. Familiar with the XJ Cherokee, I knew immediately that the Liberty offered substance and way more technology than its predecessor. Each of these three Jeep 4WD models have more technology than a TJ or YJ Wrangler or the XJ Cherokee. The service needs are also greater and should follow OEM guidelines...If you have a need for answers and want to dialogue with other owners, this is the place! Better yet, I'll throw my professiona

Welcome to the Jeep Liberty, Commander, Patriot and Compass forum! The Liberty served as the sequel to the XJ Cherokee, followed by the Commander, Patriot and Compass Jeep® models. Liberty went on to distinguish itself as a 4x4 off-road contender, and the Commander met the same aims as the 2005-up Jeep® Grand Cherokee. Join other owners at this community and share your experiences!—Moses Ludel The 2002 Jeep® KJ Liberty automatic transmission is just one more example of the stamina built into these 4WD SUV models. Liberty, in particular, has become another Jeep 4x4 icon!
