    With 4runners your so limited the 1.9 looked great due to the price for a swap and all the great comments about it. I asked myself the same question until I saw videos of people upgrading the 1.9 to a stage 1 or higher, and just assumed it was the way to go. I felt the 4bt is to big plus a money dump, and the 1kzs have really bad head issues. Those where the only successful diesel I've seen

    Okay cool I will get on that and keep you posted, also if I am able to go through with the swap, once my title is changed from a gas vehicle to diesel will I have to repeat going to referee every 2years when its time to re register?

    I wanna do a 1.9tdi swap with a r150f 5speed tranny in a 3rd gen. I do live in SD, california unfortunately. What am I looking at here. My donor is a 2005 that passes smog.
