Just reading this, and will attack the same issue with my '69 Commando (sooner or later), But, I'd argue that there was a fourth goal that was not mentioned but similarly met regardless: fitting a standard and readily available aftermarket filter. Although I gotta wonder how much longer an air filter for an '82 Toyota Starlet might be considered 'readily available'. Well done, regardless.
