I assume that other sensors are involved The the ECU sends a lockup signal to the solenoid once certain parameters are met- maybe engine speed, transmission speed, engine vacuum or and combination of these???? I have run a hot lead the the solenoid and can hear it actuate but since this signal does not come from the ECU it will not effect the Check Engine light. So does anyone know what sensors and/ or parameters have to be met to get the ECU to send the Lockup signal?
